In order to implement the arrangements of the CPC municipal committee and the municipal government to support small and micro-sized enterprises to resume work and production, and cooperate with relevant departments of the municipal government to accelerate the timely verification and allocation of exhibition reward and subsidy funds, recently, at the request of Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce and Siming District Commercial Bureau, Xiamen Convention and Exhibition Association accelerated the data collection and review of 2019 exhibition projects and issued an evaluation report to support enterprises in fighting the epidemic and helping them tide over the difficulties.

Since the COVID-19 outbreak, the Association has strengthened its research and contacted with its members to timely understand the difficulties and problems encountered by enterprises, and actively assisted the government to help enterprises solve the difficulties. First, the Association quickly tracks enterprises of different business forms through the member WeChat groups; second, the Association conducts research and statistics on about 300 enterprises, numbers multiple research reports, and reports to Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce (Bureau of Convention and Exhibition) the “resumption of work of exhibition enterprises”, “difficulties facing international exhibition enterprises due to the epidemic (also reports to the provincial department of commerce)”, and “difficulties facing the convention and exhibition industry in Xiamen and countermeasures and suggestions”, providing data support for the government to formulate policies and prevent and control the epidemic; third, the Association takes the lead in issuing documents throughout the country to reduce and postpone the collection of membership fees of 2020 in order to work together with members to tide over difficulties; fourth, the Association guides enterprises to seize the gap, strengthen staff training, practice skills and improve quality, so as to gather energy for the second half of the year; fifth, the Association pays equal attention to fighting epidemic and resuming work, makes effective epidemic prevention and control by way of telecommuting and working at home, and speeds up the formulation of the “2019 Convention and Exhibition Industry Development Report” and the “2019 Statistical Analysis Report”.
