On the evening of March 19, the first session of online exhibition training and MICE youth salon in Xiamen, China was successfully held. Under the guidance of Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the salon is hosted by Xiamen Convention and Exhibition Association, undertaken by Xiamen Yunlive Technology Co., Ltd., and co-organized by Strait MICE. Three heads of technology service enterprises and operators from Shanghai, Xi’an and Xiamen were invited to connect to discuss the development of smart exhibition services in the era of science and technology. The first session attracted a total of 23,000 viewers nationwide after broadcast, and gained 18,000 visits in 12 hours and 25,000 visits in 24 hours. Up to now, the total visits reach 32,000 which is remarkable.

Zheng Zhi, president of Xiamen Convention and Exhibition Association, delivered a speech for this training, stating that the convention and exhibition industry has always been the best display platform for science and technology. He encouraged the young professionals to study more high-tech science, technology and materials, and better apply science and technology to exhibitions, so as to make the convention and exhibition industry in Xiamen and even around China dynamic. Guests expressed their insights on hot topics such as the development direction of online convention and exhibition, the combination of intelligent auxiliary system and 5G technology, and the way that 5G technology help the exhibition industry.

It has always been one of the work emphases of Xiamen Convention and Exhibition Association to care for the growth of the youth and strengthen the cultivation of the talents in this industry. Affected by the epidemic, Xiamen MICE Youth Salon stopped the offline activities and launched online training at the same time. It is worth mentioning that Xiamen MICE Youth Online Salon blazes a trail, focusing on the sharing of convention and exhibition practice. It invites three business leaders from well-known convention and exhibition companies in the industry to share practical information in each session, so as to play a role of the industry amid the ongoing epidemic, and help the youth practice their internal skills diligently.
