Recently, Huang Heming, secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group and director general of Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and his delegation visited the municipal convention and exhibition promotion center to investigate the preparations for the 21st China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT). Huang fully affirmed the positive contribution made by the center to the development of Xiamen’s convention and exhibition industry after reviewing the history of the center, and put forward six requirements for the next step: first, we should remain true to our original aspiration, continue to carry forward the spirit of “especially able to bear hardships, stand hard work, and make innovation”, and show the positive energy; second, we should boost confidence and rise up to the challenges, calmly deal with the pressure and challenges brought about by novel coronavirus pandemic, and spare no effort to make the 21st CIFIT a success; third, we should strengthen our sense of responsibility and mission, and perform the duties and glorious tasks entrusted to the center by the CPC municipal committee and the municipal government; fourth, we should keep constant pursuit of reform and innovation, and strive to make greater contribution to the CIFIT; fifth, we should stress unity, hard work, and team building; sixth, we should persist in administering the party strictly in an all-round way, and all cadres should be honest and self-disciplined, and resolutely abide by the spirit of the Eight-Point Regulation of the CPC Central Committee. The notice of the municipal government on the appointment of Comrade Chen Haoying as deputy director general of Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce and director general of Xiamen Conference and Exhibition Bureau was read out at the meeting. Chen hoped that the center would strengthen the innovative development of CIFIT under the new situation, and strive to promote the integrated development of the convention and exhibition industry and other local industries. He also discussed in detail with members of the center’s leadership team and middle-level cadres the specific preparations for the CIFIT this year.
