The 25th AFECA online board meeting was held on May 13th. Advisors and board members from 12 countries and regions in Asia participated in the meeting and exchanged ideas of COVID-19 pandemic controlling, sustainable development, AFECA MICE Youth Challenge, AFECA Awards and other matters. Mr. Zheng Zhi, Vice President of AFECA and President of XMCEA joined the meeting and made a speech. He first expressed his appreciation for Mr. Water Yeh and all board members’ concern and greetings on China mainland’s MICE industry and XMCEA when China mainland was stuck in the epidemic. Mr. Zheng said that under the unified leadership of the Chinese central government, China has secured decisive victory by Chinese people’s joint efforts in prevention and control. Likewise, the MICE industry of the Chinese mainland embarks on a road of recovery and the industry in Xiamen is expected to restart in the middle of this June. During the pandemic period, XMCEA has conducted a series of works as organizing webinars and online training courses to push forward MICE industry’s resumption and recovery. As pandemic control has become a new normal, Mr. Zheng noted that XMCEA kept sharing China’s experience on AFECA’s website and other media platforms since the very beginning. He also stated that China and Xiamen will work and stand side by side with all friends and colleagues from all countries and regions to tide over the hard time.
