Xiamen kicked off on October 19 the annual Cross-Strait Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Seminar, which is sponsored by the Cross-Strait Science and Technology Exchange Center under the Ministry of Science and Technology as well as Xiamen's Science and Technology Bureau.

Approximately 200 experts and scholars, investors and entrepreneurial mentors joined makerspace leaders and project teams at the five-day event.

This year's activities also included the Cross-Strait Innovation and Entrepreneurship Invitational as well as keynote speeches, entrepreneur roundtables, creative fairs and maker consultations.

Now in its fifth year, the event has attracted more than 40 Taiwan entrepreneurial projects to Xiamen over the years.
