Xiamen recently hosted the annual National Conference on Building Energy Efficiency and Green Building Technological Innovation. More than 70,000 guests attended the conference online.

City officials announced a series of energy conservation and efficiency milestones at the event. Local authorities have tracked energy efficiency in buildings throughout Xiamen.

They have conducted energy audits for 690 government office buildings and large-scale public buildings over the past decade. The city has assessed the energy consumption of approximately 15,000 residential buildings and small- and medium-sized public buildings.

Xiamen has also improved energy conservation for more than 10,000 square meters of national government office buildings and large-scale public buildings.
