In order to further promote the development of relevant standards for Fujian convention and exhibition industry, Zheng Zhi, chairman of Fujian Conference and Exhibition Industry Standardization Technical Committee (hereinafter referred to as the standardization committee), Lizhenliang, vice chairman, Zhangjinmei, secretary general and staff of the Secretariat visited Zeng Jindong, director of Department of Commerce of Fujian Province and Xie Xuhua, vice president of CCPIT Fujian, and reported the operation status and main work of the standardization committee, found out the requirements of Department of Commerce and CCPIT on the standard construction, and took the opinions and suggestions of the two leaders on the standard formulation of the convention and exhibition industry.  

Zeng Jindong highly affirmed the establishment of the standardization committee and the work achievements at the present stage, and put forward three suggestions for the formulation of industry standards: first, the formulation of standards should be based on the needs of the industry; second, it should serve the needs of the government; third, it should be in line with internationalization and lead the development of the industry. Xie Xuhua pointed out that regulating enterprises, projects and industries’ further development with standards is a trend. The formulation of standards should understand the needs of the industry and the government in depth, adopt experience from existing achievements, pay close attention to the industry's status in developed countries and regions, serve the industry’s development with standards.

Zheng Zhi, chairman of the committee, said that the standardization committee will earnestly follow the opinions and suggestions of Department of Commerce of Fujian Province and CCPIT Fujian, effectively promote the standard construction and eventually get the standards to lead and motivate the brand development of Fujian's convention and exhibition industry.
