The first China International Consumer Products Expo – also known as the Hainan Expo – wound up on May 10 in Haikou, capital city of South China's Hainan province. A total of 70 countries and regions attended the four-day show and nearly 1,500 companies from home and abroad participated.

During the expo, Xiamen city in East China's Fujian province – focusing on the intelligent health, fashion, as well as food and beverage sectors – selected eight local high-quality enterprises. These included Ogawa, Padmate and Hek and they were featured in the Xiamen Pavilion.

Meanwhile, four Xiamen enterprises – C&D, ITG Holding, XMXYG and Kindomway – also featured. Together with their consumer goods supply chain brands, member enterprises and overseas partners, they made a prominent appearance in the Food & Supplements exhibition area of the expo.

Statistics showed that the Xiamen business stands received more than 3,000 visits during the expo. To cap it off, the products of participating companies were reported on by many media outlets.

Padmate's customized products were sought after by a large number of trendsetters. The company also received business inquiries for its customized wireless earphone products from the Harbin Pharmaceutical Group.

Worthfind's products were recognized by Xiamen Air, Vip.com and other large purchasers. The enterprise is actively chasing up purchase orders, with the brand officially selected as the designated sponsor of the Hainan Expo.

The style and quality of high-end tableware products from Aiderin were favored by restaurant chains and resort hotels in Hainan, in terms of orders.

Bolon glasses – with their exquisite designs – won the keen attention of many domestic terminal retailers.

Ogawa's products were also well received by professional buyers, receiving more than 200 visitors who wanted to experience its massage and relaxation products every day.

C&D cooperated with Japan's three major conglomerates – Marubeni, Mitsui and Sumitomo – to display a variety of high-end Japanese consumer goods. It signed supply orders with the Xingyun Group – a leading consumer goods digital supply chain service platform in China – and Torre Oria, a top wine producer.

Kindomway's health care products brands, such as Doctor's Best and Maikon, signed supply orders worth about 3 million yuan ($466,624) on the spot.

The Xiamen exhibitors all said that the expo helped them to raise their brand images – as well as to expand their product sales channels – and they expressed an interest to participate in the expo next year.
