Cross-Strait Book Fair concludes in Xiamen

The annual Cross-Strait Book Fair concluded on Saturday at the Xiamen Fliport Convention and Exhibition Center with a collective sales volume of 58.3 million yuan. The event included 335 Chinese publishers displaying new books, bestsellers and limited editions. More than 350 booths showcased nearly 100,000 books.
More than 1,000 books published in Fujian debuted at the event. The fair included a video negotiation room used by more than 50 mainland publishers to negotiate with dozens of Taiwan counterparts.
The venue simultaneously hosted a book exhibition featuring the centennial of the Communist Party of China. The exhibit extended to a satellite venue at the Xiamen International Bookstore.
Covid-19 restrictions limited attendees at the main venue to professional exhibitors and guests. The Xiamen International Bookstore is hosting a 15,000-square-meter exhibition area open to the public through December 12. The display includes a 35 percent discount for on-site purchases.
