Xiamen, Seoul hold economic, trade cooperation conference

The 2022 Xiamen - Seoul Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference was held simultaneously in Xiamen, Fujian province and Seoul, South Korea on July 8 to boost the two nations' industrial cooperation.
Over 40 representative companies and institutions in fields such as finance, telecommunications, semiconductors, biomedicine, and modern logistics from both China and South Korea conducted cross-border docking and communication through an online platform.
Chen Haoying, deputy director of the Xiamen municipal bureau of commerce, introduced and promoted the China International Fair of Investment and Trade (CIFIT), and Xiamen's industrial development trend to the attendees at the conference.
Wu Wenping, vice-president of the Bank of China Xiamen Branch, introduced financial service examples to boost economic cooperation between China and South Korea.
Representatives from companies such as Xiamen Haicang Information Industry Development Co introduced their experience in conducting practical communications throughout their advantageous fields and expressed hope of extending business cooperation at the conference.
The Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce emphasized the economic and trade cooperation with South Korea and has been beefing up its efforts to boost cooperation between two nations' companies, business associations, and industrial parks since it set up a representative office in Seoul, South Korea 10 years ago, according to Yu Xiaojia, director of the agency's office in South Korea.
