XMFAO promotes CIFIT among foreign consulate generals

A promotion symposium for the 22nd China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) was held on July 20 in Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong province.
The foreign affairs office of Xiamen, which is the host city of CIFIT, invited nearly 30 officials from foreign consulate generals in Guangzhou, including those of South Korea, Indonesia, Brazil, Laos, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Pakistan, Argentina and Greece, to attend the event.
Zhuang Rongliang, vice-mayor of Xiamen, and Han Jae Heuk, consul general of South Korea in Guangzhou, delivered speeches at the symposium.
Representatives from the foreign consulate generals said that they will actively participate in the CIFIT to share China's development opportunities and promote win-win cooperation.
From July 19 to 21, a delegation led by Yu Hao, deputy director general of the Xiamen foreign affairs office, visited consulate generals of other BRICS countries and countries involved with the Belt and Road Initiative in Guangzhou to strengthen friendly relationships and discuss cooperation opportunities.
The consulate generals stated that they will continue to promote cooperation in trade, education, culture and sister-city ties between their countries and Xiamen.
