Xiamen's exhibition industry makes historic achievements

Recently, the China International Conference Exhibition (CICE) released its exhibition analysis concerning various locations ranging from January to November 2022. According to data, Xiamen ranks third in China in terms of the number of exhibitions, and 7th in terms of exhibition area, making history for Xiamen's exhibition industry. In 2022, amid the severe epidemic situation in China, the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce (Bureau of Convention & Exhibition Affairs) managed to overcome these hardships by taking proactive measures to coordinate epidemic control with the development of the exhibition industry, thus accelerating the rapid resurgence of the industry. In less than 4 months of exhibitions hosted from January to November this year, Xiamen made the best use of this short window of time to host 101 exhibitions that had a total exhibition area of 1,274,00㎡, up by 5.5% on a year-to-year basis, with the economic benefits from the exhibition industry reaching RMB 9.1 billion.
