The 30th China International Advertising Festival concluded on Nov 19 in Xiamen, a costal city in East China's Fujian province. It attracted a large number of exhibitors, advertisers, media professionals, and brand owners.

For four consecutive days, 20 themed forums, 12 large-scale events, nine professional exhibitions, and seven marketing resource promotion conferences were staged.

The festival found a permanent home in Xiamen in 2020, and it is committed to becoming the city's new exhibition business card.

During the festival, a series of professional and cutting-edge activities were held, promoting industrial upgrading, creative ideas, and business cooperation.

For example, China's advertising industry announced its latest achievements in digital transformation, such as big data, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and AIGC.

Forums on national brand building, brand globalization, live streaming e-commerce, cosmetics marketing, and metaverse marketing were held to explore future development.

After 30 years of development, the festival has become an important platform to gain insight into industry development trends and to explore future development ideas.

Statistics show that the advertising revenue of national advertising institutions and enterprises above a designated size has reached 1.12 trillion yuan ($157.09 billion) last year, ranking second in the world.

China's advertising industry has achieved leapfrog development in the last four decades. Some professionals believe that the China International Advertising Festival has provided pivotal support for the industry, contributing to its success.

A commemorative assembly to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of China Advertising Association was also held during the festival. During this period, the association's primary focus has been on actively safeguarding industry rights and interests and seeking policy support. Its other goals are to enhance industry service capabilities, talent cultivation, and international exchanges.

Zhang Guohua, president of the China Advertising Association, said that in the future, China's advertising industry will become an important force in boosting the digital economy, promoting socialist culture, and constructing influential brands.
