Local officials last week announced that Xiamen hosted last year 152 exhibitions spanning an approximate total area of 2.2 million square meters, up 68.2 percent year-on-year.

Officials estimate that 2024 exhibitions will cover three million square meters.

Xiamen also hosted last year more than 4,300 meetings and 810,000 attendees, up 155 percent from the previous year.

Xiamen's exhibition space is spread over three major clusters: Siming's Huandao road, Xiangan's Fengxiang New Town and Huli's Wuyuan Bay.
