The three-day 19th Strait Travel Fair and the 9th China (Xiamen) International Leisure Tourism Expo concluded with gusto on May 26 at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center in Xiamen, Southeast China's Fujian Province.

Xiamen wowed the crowds by showcasing its urban cultural tourism intellectual property with the theme "Sea-kissed Garden, Enjoy Xiamen". It held promotional events combining conferences and exhibitions and integrating online and offline activities. The Xiamen Pavilion was also set up to vividly present the city's rich tourism resources and unique charms.

The total exhibition area of the two events covered about 50,000 square meters. More than 70,000 visitors attended the events during the three days, a 40% increase on the previous year. The total consumer spending reached nearly 200 million yuan ($27.6 million), doubling that in 2023.

On the evening of May 23, a culture and tourism promotion event themed on "Sea-kissed Garden, Enjoy Xiamen" took place. It presented a musical theatrical performance, showcasing Xiamen's diverse lifestyle in six scenes.

The event integrated Xiamen's cultural and tourism features with the local Minnan culture, allowing the audience to immerse themselves in a beautiful journey through the leisure city.

The design of and the related activities held in the Xiamen Pavilion were closely linked to the culture and tourism promotion event.

Focusing on the theme "Sea-kissed Garden, Enjoy Xiamen", the pavilion created a new cultural and tourism space shared by locals and tourists, showcasing the elements of Xiamen's tourism such as sea, flowers, art and its great lifestyle. This attracted hordes of residents and tourists to visit the exhibition and engage in a raft of experiences.

The Xiamen Pavilion also offered visitors several popular photo-taking spots. The performance area designed in the shape of the "Gulangyu Island Piano Wharf" featured a series of programs including Nanyin music, Gaojia opera and band performances, providing the audience with thick atmosphere of music and art.
