The organizing committee of this year's China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) officially announced at a promotional event in Guangzhou that the fair will open in Xiamen on September 8. The committee invited industry leaders from around the world to join the four-day event, which is designed to promote bilateral investment.

Nearly 100 international guests attended the promotional event, including consuls general, acting consuls general and representatives from official investment institutions and business associations from more than 40 countries such as Hungary, Pakistan and the United States.

This year's CIFIT theme is Invest in a Shared Future. Featured topics include foreign investment in China and Chinese investment internationally as well as bilateral and multilateral trade exchanges. Other topics include expanded financial investment, the promotion of global practical cooperation, the digital economy and green development.

This year's guest country of honor is Hungary, which will establish a national pavilion featuring investment opportunities, logistics systems, automotive industry, agricultural products and other innovations. Guest province of honor Zhejiang province will host a 720-square-meter pavilion to highlight its achievements in openness and development. It will also host a cross-border company networking event.
