On September 7th, during the 24th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), the Dialogue on Global Development Initiative (GDI), with the tagline "cultivate new growth momentum for shared global development", was held in Xiamen, Southeast China's Fujian Province.

The meeting attracted the participation of nearly 150 representatives from over 30 countries, international organizations, foreign investment promotions agencies, State-owned enterprises and business communities.

Attendees said that the China-proposed GDI has provided a course for addressing global development challenges and garnered active participation from the international community.

They added that the dialogue was conducive to further building consensus for cooperation and advancing global development.

During the promotion and exchange session, representatives shared their practices in advancing the implementation of the GDI and the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

They stressed the importance of strengthening unity and cooperation to collectively tackle global challenges and effectively implement the GDI to usher in a new era of prosperity and development.

In recent years, Xiamen has leveraged its strengths to deepen international exchanges and cooperation in various fields, including commerce and trade, healthcare, education and training, continuously advancing local practices in support of the GDI.
