The Xiamen Friendship City Photo Exhibition 2024 Celebrating the Anniversaries of Friendship City Relations was unveiled at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center on September 8th.

Wang Chengquan, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Xiamen Municipal People's Congress, Jenny McKay, Chair of the Sunshine Coast Sister Cities Association and Honorary Citizen of Xiamen, along with other international guests from Xiamen's friendship cities, attended the opening ceremony.

Wang highlighted Xiamen's evolution into a high-quality, modern and international city over the past 40 years, emphasizing the expansion and deepening of international friendship city relations and practical cooperation.

He expressed the hope that the exhibition would help enhance the mutual understanding of friendship cities and contribute to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

McKay expressed confidence in the continued expansion and deepening of the fruitful exchanges between Xiamen and Sunshine Coast within the framework of friendship city relations, across various fields like economy, culture, education and art.

At present, Xiamen boasts 23 international friendship cities, 19 international friendly exchange cities and 18 international friendship ports.
