The annual Xiamen Lacquer Art Exhibition opened last week in the main exhibition hall of the Xiamen Art Museum. The event, which runs through February 16, features both senior artists and emerging talents in the lacquer art industry.

Exhibition organizers said that the event serves to showcase the achievements and diversity of contemporary Chinese lacquer art, to promote the exchange and development of lacquer art nationwide and to further advance its inheritance and innovation.
