The international badminton mixed team competition called the Sudirman Cup will make its debut appearance in Xiamen next month. The cup's world mixed team badminton championships kick off on April 27 at the Xiamen Phoenix Gymnasium. The Sudirman Cup is awarded to the winning team. 

This year's competition features 16 teams from countries such as China, Indonesia, Japan and the Republic of Korea. Preparations for the event are in the final stages, with a group draw ceremony scheduled for tomorrow.
