Local officials last week announced that Xiamen hosted 26 exhibitions with a total area of approximately 330,000 square meters in the first quarter of the year.

Featured events included January's China Marathon Expo, which ran alongside the Xiamen Marathon. Last month's Xiamen International Stone Fair included more than 150,000 visitors and an exhibition area of 191,000 square meters. The fair drew over 2,000 exhibitors from 40 countries.

Xiamen also hosted for the first time the International Conference on Display Technology. The conference showcases products and services connected with the display technology industry.
