Many Xiamen-based companies have seen their order volumes grow in January and February and are ramping up production to meet demand.
XTC New Energy, a listed company, recently projected its January-February revenue to range between 2.70 billion yuan and 3.55 billion yuan, marking a year-on-year increase of 60-110 percent. The company has attributed this revenue growth primarily to rising raw material prices and a year-on-year increase in product sales volume.
King Long Motor Group, another listed company, recently announced that it sold 4,326 buses in February, a year-on-year increase of 48.05 percent. During the January-February period, the company sold a total of 9,038 buses, up 41.13 percent.
Xiamen Minghan Electric Co, a national "Little Giant" enterprise in the Torch (Xiang'an) Industrial Zone, saw orders rise 30 percent in 2025, with production scheduled through August 2026. Driven by growing demand from new energy, semiconductors, and AI-powered computing centers, the company expects further order growth this year.
The AI boom is fueling demand for high-speed cables. At Amphenol (Xiamen), orders have climbed steadily since the Spring Festival, with output value doubling annually for three straight years.
Xiamen CATL, a key player in the city's new energy sector, is operating at full capacity, with orders scheduled through the end of the year. Another company racing to keep pace with demand is Xiamen Ampace Technology Co.
