New Industrial Revolution Partner City Network established

On May 27, the BRICS Forum on Partnership on New Industrial Revolution 2026, themed "Building a Smart Manufacturing Ecosystem to Accelerate the New Industrial Revolution," opened in Xiamen. At the opening ceremony, as a concrete step to implement the International Cooperation Initiative on New Industrialization, eleven domestic and international cities—including Durban (South Africa), Lagos (Nigeria), Belgrade (Serbia), Almaty and Astana (Kazakhstan), Kapuvár (Hungary), as well as Xiamen, Nanjing, Wuhan, Yinchuan, and Changzhou—jointly launched the New Industrial Revolution Partner City Network. The New Industrial Revolution Partner City Network targets BRICS nations, participants of the International Cooperation Initiative on New Industrialization, and other countries willing to engage in cooperation. It builds an international cooperation network with cities as the basic units, helping to transform and upgrade traditional industries in these cities and foster new quality productive forces.
