In front of the Xiamen International Expo Center, the eye?catching "9·8" insignia sets a vibrant prelude for the upcoming event.The 26th China International Fair for Investment &Trade (CIFIT) will convene here from September 8 to 11. In the first half of this year, Xiamen hosted 71 exhibitions spanning 1,194,939 square meters of floor space, representing a 24.74% year-on-year increase. Xiamen was awarded "Annual MICE-Friendly City" at the 15th Expo Investment Fair for International Exhibition Cooperation in July, marking the second consecutive year that Xiamen has earned this accolade. Amid global competition, Xiamen is forging itself into a nodal city for new development paradigms. Leveraging its strategic positioning as a "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" hub and other geographical advantages, Xiamen's MICE sector endeavors to build globally influential exhibition brands, continuously enhancing this industry's influence. Xiamen adheres to an open approach to hosting exhibitions. Since 2025, it has landed several national-level and international high-end exhibition projects, including the China International Sporting Goods Show, the China Materials Conference, and the China Association of Clinical Laboratory Practice Expo. Simultaneously, it empowers local enterprises for global expansion. According to incomplete statistics, in Q1 2026 alone, 389 Xiamen-based firms participated in more than 110 international trade shows across 24 countries.
