On September 9, the Xiamen Shumaotong Platform Commercial Rollout & Cross-Border Trade (token exports) e-CNY Settlement Innovation Conference was held at the Xiamen International Expo Center during the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade, marking the platform's official transition from technological R&D to large-scale commercial operation. The Xiamen Shumaotong Platform is a key e-CNY service innovation and application platform for cross-border trade developed by Xiamen. The platform addresses pain points in cross-border trade settlement—high fees, slow fund transfers, cumbersome procedures, and difficult risk control—by leveraging the Shubida comprehensive cross-border settlement service platform (CBETS), developed by the Digital RMB International Operations Center, and working with commercial banks and payment institutions to provide one-stop digital financial and trade support services for foreign trade enterprises and cross-border e-commerce businesses. The commercial launch marks an important milestone in Xiamen's digital financial innovation.
