2016 Xiamen International Industrial Exposition holds successful press conference

The organizers of the 2016 Xiamen International Industrial Exposition and the 20th China Xiamen Machinery and Electronics Exhibition, in the city of Xiamen, Fujian province, joined the Fujian government in holding a press conference in Fuzhou, Fujian’s capital, on March 10, to raise the awareness of the expo inside the province.

The host of the conference was Lin Xianyuan, deputy director of the provincial information office, with Wang Yueping, deputy director of Xiamen government’s general office, and Wang Qiongwen, secretary-general of the expo organizing committee and head of the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Convention and Exhibition Affairs, taking part and speaking on the latest developments.

Wang Yueping told the gathering that the expo, which runs April 12 - 15, will focus this year on smart manufacturing, cutting-edge technologies, and industrial solutions, and will hold many major forums and matchmaking events. The expo will be a best exhibition of industrial products possible and provide a site for cooperation between businesses around the world.

He went on to explain that the expo will be a site where international companies can show their strengths in smart manufacturing and businesses from around the globe can find partners for future development, while businesses from the mainland and Taiwan can discuss economic and trade cooperation.

The press conference pulled in nearly 100 journalists from many media outlets, including State media Xinhua News Agency, China Daily, China New Service, and Economic Daily, and some local media, the Fujian Daily, Fujian TV, Xiamen Daily, and Xiamen TV and correspondents from news outlets outside Fujian. （Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Convention and Exhibition Affairs ）
