The 12th Strait Travel Fair Opens in Xiamen

On May 6, The 12th Strait Travel Fair (short as The Travel Fair) , which is hosted by China National Tourism Administration and Fujian Provincial People’s Government, undertaken and supported by Fujian Provincial Tourism Administration, Xiamen Municipal People’s Government and Pacific Asia Travel Association, opens in Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Travel Fair further expands its high-quality exhibition scale, covering exhibition area 33,000 square metres, 1,500 booths. Among which, tourism organizations from 9 countries as South Korea, Thailand, Belgium, Italy, India, Philippine, Malaysia, Maldives and Mariana participate The Fair, marking the most participating organizations from abroad.
Comparing with previous Travel Fairs, the 12th Strait Travel Fair will be totally switched and upgraded, whether from its organizers to participants, forms to contents, or denotation to connotations. Five bright spots highlight the Fair, innovating mechanism to deepen cooperation with tourism industry; promoting coordination to strengthen functional effect of the Travel Fair; hosting a green fair to practice green development; stimulating opening up to expand the influence of “refreshing Fujian” and sharing achievements to promote the theme of “win-win cooperation”.
The Fair sets “One belt, one road” exhibition zone for the first time, integrates tourism products and markets resources from every province (district, city) to push ahead tourism cooperation among cities, and plans on forming world-class level tourism lines of "One belt, one road".
Meanwhile, tourism enterprises from cross straits are together launching and selling high-quality goods route, tickets for scenic spots, special offers and coupons for hotels on the Fair. Citizens and tourists can one-stop shop tourism products from cross straits, bringing the Fair into “a travel carnival” that benefits citizens and tourists.
