Tea fair to showcase charming tea culture at 19th CIFIT

A tea fair will take place alongside the 19th China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) at the Xiamen International Exhibition Center from September 8-11.

First included in CIFIT in 2012, the fair brings together businesses from the tea industry including those relating to farming, manufacturing, product design and packaging. Running alongside CIFIT gives access to a global network of participants.

This year’s fair will pay particular attention to the origin of tea products and call attention to the importance of protecting natural environments. Tea brands from famous tea planting areas in Fujian, Yunnan, Henan, Guizhou, Hunan and Taiwan will attend the event.

Aside from providing an opportunity to network and explore business deals, the fair will be a chance for tea lovers to get their fix of the finest varieties of green, black, white, yellow and Oolong teas.

Artfully designed tea wares, food and beauty care products containing tea ingredients, tea houses and tea culture tours will be some of the products and services on display at exhibitor booths.

Various forums will feature over the fair, including the Cross-Straits Eco-Tea and Tea Culture Tourism Forum, which aims to provide constructive advice on innovation in branding strategies, standardization and marketization.

A tea and tourism business matching event will invite domestic travel agencies to shed light on the design of new travel itineraries aimed at spreading tea culture.

The city of Nanping in Fujian province will host a tea competition at their exhibition space entitled Authentic Wuyi Mountains.

Nanping city is located to the southeast of the Wuyi Mountains, a famous tea producing area which is thought to be where techniques for making black tea originated.
