Xiamen trade fair attracts large number of Australian companies
2016/8/24
The Australian Business Forum, Australia’s largest independent organization for helping Australian businesses engage with China, , is once again sending a strong delegation to this year’s China International Fair for Investment & Trade, which will take place in Xiamen, Fujian province on Sept 9-11. A group of delegates representing the cream of Australia’s political and business communities will be taking part in CIFIT events organized by the ABF, which will include exhibitions, seminars, business matching sessions and networking events. Many of these attendees will be exhibiting in the huge ABF Australian Pavilion, which will occupy over 300 square meters of the main hall at CIFIT and will feature companies from key industries across the Australian economy, from trade, real estate and finance to culture and education. The space at Booth C4151 will give these ambitious companies a chance to showcase their products and services, as well as hold productive discussions with potential Chinese joint-venture partners, investors and distributors. Meanwhile, the ABF will also be organizing its second Australia China BusinessWeek, a series of engagement events to help Australian businesses hone their China strategies and expand their networks in China. As part of this, the ABF will be teaming up with Fujian’s commerce bureau to host a Mandarin-language business matching event on the morning of Sept 9, giving businesses from Australia and Fujian the chance to hold one-on-one discussions about key investment projects on which they could cooperate. Participating in the fair will also give Australian companies an excellent opportunity to discover new investment opportunities and find out more about the business environments and investment policies in different regions, as CIFIT will be attended by delegates from China and other countries. For this reason, CIFIT is particularly valuable as a forum for exploring opportunities created by the Belt and Road Initiative, China’s ambitious push to better connect Asia with Europe and Africa, particularly through investment in infrastructure. |
