The 2016 International Collection Investment Fair will run in tandem with the 19th China International Fair for Investment & trade in Xiamen, Fujian province from Sept 8 – 11.

 

The 2016 International Collection Investment Fair will include exhibitions, seminars and auctions, whilst taking place at the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center in Xiamen.

 

At a 16,000 square meters facility, the fair will house five exhibitions that focus on international art, Chinese art, and art merchandise. Chinese art will take up most of the floor space as exhibitions will showcase famous paintings and calligraphy works,  traditional Chinese crafts such as ceramics, stone and wood carvings, and purple clay tea pots.

 

Famous art institutions and artists from Asia and the West are invited to display works from different cultures. Museums and art dealers will be putting their treasured collections on display, and auction houses will send representatives to the fair to search for works with potential.

 

In addition, the fair will include several seminars to talk about current trends in the art world, along with art consumption and investment. Fang Cungang, executive deputy general manager of the famed art studio Rong Bao Zhai; Wang Laiwen, vice president of the Artists Association of Fujian province; Xu Xiwen, general manager of Canton Treasure Auction Co; and award-winning seal-engraving artist Ye Qingfeng will attend the seminars and offer their expertise.
