Spain will introduce its business climate and potential investment and trade opportunities in the country to the attendees of the 19th China International Fair for Investment & Trade.

The fifth largest economy in European Union, Spain, a serial participator of CIFIT, will stage an investment promotion event at this year’s event.

The promotion event is organized by Invest in Spain, a division of ICEX Spain Trade and Investment, a national public corporation that strives to promote Spanish companies globally.

Carlos Tortola Sebastian, an economic and commercial consul of the Consulate General of Spain in Guangzhou, will deliver a keynote speech where he is expected to elaborate on the country’s business environment and favorable investment policies for global investors.

More than 13,000 foreign companies currently operate in Spain. Among the Forbes Top 100 companies, 70 have established branch offices or subsidiaries in the country.

Spain’s foreign inward investment stock ranks 12th globally, while its foreign outward investment stock ranks 13th.
