CIFIT to adopt latest information encoding technology
2016/9/6
CIFIT organizers plan to introduce the use of the three dimensional codes at this year’s event and have appointed Xiamen-based CN3WM.com to provide the service. The 3D codes will replace 2D ones on printed brochures and other publicity materials. Three dimensional codes printed in colors will be seen around the exhibition site, with the CIFIT logo designed into the patterns. The company also developed mobile applications so participants of the fair can learn information on the 2016 International Investment Forum, a gathering of political and business leaders worldwide, and browse photos and videos that document memorable moments from previous fair sessions. Deriving from existing 2D code technology, 3D codes contains five times the amount of information per unit area than 2D ones and have a higher level of information security. This allows a better visual effect to be incorporated on the code, such as letters, photos and logos. The codes are now used in commercials, printed advertisements and on outdoor video screens. CN3WM.com develops 3D encoding technologies and generates customized 3D codes. Its client base covers 6 million individuals and numerous corporate clients. The company will also exhibit its latest developments at the fair, including a fusion of 3D encoding and VR and AR technologies. According to Chen Shengxu, founder of the tech company, the use of 3D codes could combat against counterfeiting and may accelerate the process of standardization of code registration and copyright protection. Chen led a research team at the Shenzhen University’s College of Optoelectronic Engineering to develop the 3D information encoding technology. |
