The 19th China International Fair for Investment &Trade (CIFIT) will host exhibitors from more than 50 countries and regions as well as over 600 business delegations from across the globe, Xiamen Daily reported.

The event, which is one of the world's most prestigious international investment fairs, will be held in Xiamen, Fujian province from Sept 8 to 11.

The Australian Business Forum, the largest non-political organization in Australia engaged in hosting high-end business meetings, forums and expos, will bring dozens of major investment projects to the fair. The Australia China BusinessWeek, to be held for the fourth consecutive year in China, will focus on investment cooperation between the two sides, and is expected to promote the bilateral business relations.

Known as the World Longevity Island, and frequent attendee of CIFIT, Japan’s Okinawa will host an economic and trade cooperation forum on Sept 8. There will also be display of wine and specialty food, and interactive activities to probe into the secret of longevity.

Spain will promote investment on Sept 8, with the Consulate General of Spain in Guangzhou giving a round-up of the country’s investment environment and policies.

Italy is this year’s Guest Country of Honor at the CIFIT, and will have its own 800-square-meter exhibition area. TheGuest Region of Honor, Macao, will set up pavilions covering more than 6,000 square meters. Other countries including Australia, Malaysia and Russia have all set up exhibition spaces. The UN Industrial Development Organization, the World Trade Centers Association, the International Finance Corporation, IFC and other major international organizations have been invited to the fair.
