Zhong Shan talks international trade at 2016 International Investment Forum

China’s International Trade Representative Zhong Shan, gave a speech at the 2016 International Investment Forum held at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center on Sept 8. Zhong said that all attendees agreed on the important role that international business and investment have played in stimulating a country’s economic development, at the G20 Summit that concluded in Hangzhou on Sept 5. The forum this year focused on globalization and the opening-up policy, and has pushed many new strategies, such as building a free trade zone and developing the Belt and Road Initiative. “The Ministry of Commerce will continuously improve services to help investors deal with difficulties,” Zhong said. Attendees at the forum also included China’s Vice-Premier Wang Yang, who gave a keynote speech, and Zimbabwe’s Vice-President, Phelekezela Mphoko. Cosponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and China Central Television (CCTV), the forum ended on Sept 9. About 800 representatives including government officials and businessmen from more than 100 countries and regions attended the forum. |
