Wang Qinmin, president of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, encouraged private companies to pursue innovation and development at a meeting on Sept 7, as a precursor to the 19th China International Fair for Investment and Trade held in Xiamen, Fujian province, Sept 8-10.

Wang also urged private companies to take advantage of the opportunities brought about by the country’s supply-side reforms, in order to better develop themselves.

He also called on companies to utilize exchanges and cooperation to achieve mutually beneficial results.

The meeting targeted the city’s commercial organizations and private companies, and discussed topics such as mass entrepreneurship and innovation, company transformation, economic development, and the Internet economy. It aims to help solve the difficulties and problems businesses face in their development.
