Investment promotion agency introduces priority projects in Xiamen

The Investment promotion agency, an affiliate of China’s Commerce Ministry, hosted a presentation in Xiamen during the 19th China International Fair for Investment & Trade.

The event encompassed business environment introductions, project road shows, experts’ reviews and on-site matching of businesses.

Zhao Xinliang of the Overseas Students Pioneer Park, in Beijing’s Haidian district, explained the three project incubators at the park and the comprehensive services it offers as a business incubating base.

Deputy mayor of Fuzhou in Jiangxi province, Dong Chaowu, introduced the city’s advantages in resources, geographic location and culture. The city plans to focus its development strategy on traditional Chinese medicine, electronic information, and leisure tourism and elderly care.

It was stressed that several national development zones overlap in the city and provide preferential policies to support its sustainable economic growth.

Director of the city’s hi-tech development zone, Zeng Yuexing, described the zone’s investment environment, industrial clusters in auto and parts manufacturing, bio medicine, electronic information, new energy and new material, and emerging industries such as modern information, sci-tech finance, and logistics.

Dujiangyan, Luzhou and Yibin, three regions in southwestern Sichuan province, also rolled out their investment projects.

Li Yong, deputy director of the agency, said in a speech that the Investment Project Information Database, which the agency operates as one of the Commerce Ministry’s public services, includes 43,000 pieces of information in Chinese and English related to inward and outward investment.

The agency, relying on its extensive network in China and abroad and its big data technology supported online database, offers customized services to enterprises and institutions. Their thorough services include: offering industry study reports, developing strategies and promotional materials, helping choose the sites of investment destinations, recommending business partners, and organizing business-matching events.
