AFECA 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held in Kaohsiung,Taiwan on September 5th, 2017. Over 150 attendees, including AFECA Boardmembers, Advisers, and representatives from 15different nations/regions in Asia ascended to Southern Taiwan to receiveupdates on AFECA and its events. China CityAssociation of Convention & Exhibition (CCACE) delegates consisting of Xiamen Convention & Exhibition Association (XMCEA),Shenzhen Conference Exhibition Association, Haikou Convention &ExhibitionIndustry Association, Zhuhai Association of Convention, Exhibition &Tourism and Shanghai Convention &Exhibition Industry Association attendedthe AGM.
CCACE delegates listened the AFECE working report, studied thedevelopment plan and were invited to attend the AFECA Awards Ceremony. AFECAAsia MICE Youth Challenge 2017 was held on September 6, 2017. As a long-termsponsor for Asia MICE Youth Challenge, XMCEA was honored with Appreciation of Corporate Sponsor. As amember of Organizing Committee, President Mr. Zheng Zhi was honored with Appreciation of Contribution.
During the stay in Taiwan, CCACE delegates paid a visit to TaiwanExhibition & Convention Association, Nangang Exhibition Center and KaohsiungExhibition Center. The representative of Taiwan Exhibition & ConventionAssociation expressed their will to positively attend the 2017 Straits MICECooperation Forum which will be held on this November.
During the AFECA AGM, the CCACE delegates exchanged views with professionalscoming from Asian MICE industries. AFECA President Walter Yeh reaffirmed that he will fully support the Asian Universities MICEEducation & Cooperation Forum. The AFECA 2nd Vice President Mr.Talun Theng will be responsible for helping invite the leaders from various Asianuniversities to take part in the forum.
