The China (Xiamen) SportsIndustry expo, the first one of its kind focusing on the full sports industry chain in China, is set to take place at the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center from Jan 12 to 14, according to Xiamen Daily.

With the theme of "industrial integration and innovative development", the expo will highlight the e-sports industry and promote the integration of sports with other related industries.

Sports goods, fitness and rehabilitation training equipment, sports electronics, stadium designs, andsport tourism resources will be displayed at the expo which will cover an areaof nearly 20,000 square meters.

There will be other activities during the expo, including summit meetings, forums, and commercial transactions related to the sports industry.

Some other supporting activities will be held to attract fans and e-sports players from home and abroad, including competitions, cosplay, and network broadcasts by internet celebrities.

A series of competitions will

also be organized such as the ISPO Awards, the top prize for sports design,

ISPO Textrends, the award for the best functional textiles, and a fitness

competition.

Xie Senshu, curator of the

expo, revealed that the sports industry expo will be held in Xiamen every year,

and intends to compete with influential sports shows in Shanghai and Beijing.
