A delegation from the organizing committee of CIFIT visited the China Council for International Investment Promotion (CCIIP) in Beijing on June 12.

Wang Qiongwen, one of the members of the organizing committee and director of Xiamen Convention and Exhibition Bureau, explained developments in CIFIT in recent years during a meeting with CCIIP’s chairman and vice-chairmen.

“CIFIT has yielded fruitful results over the past years and always leads the development of investment fairs in China,” Ma Xiuhong, chairman of CCIIP, said.

Ma said she hopes to further enhance cooperation with CIFIT’s organizing committee.

The council, one of CIFITT’s co-organized associations, plans to host two activities during 2018 CIFIT: a joint conference on China’s investment promotion agencies and a seminar about new trends in international investment promotion. It will also release a report on the development of service outsourcing in China.

The China Council for International Investment Promotion is targeted at helping local governments in China improve their investment climate and offering services to foreign businessmen who invest in China and the country’s entrepreneurs who invest overseas.

The 2018 CIFIT will be held in Xiamen, Fujian province, from Sept 8 to 11. Last year, CIFIT witnessed the signing of 1,577 investment projects worth 532.7 billion yuan ($81 billion) and attracted more than 100,000 domestic and foreign business representatives from 107 countries and regions, 4,000 domestic and foreign enterprises, nearly 700 business groups and 40 multinational corporations.
