The China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) has been innovating over the past 20 years, and it has evolved into one of the most influential fairs in China for international investment.

As the only fair of its kind for bilateral international investment promotion, the fair has attracted 3,500 companies from more than 200 countries and regions with the total of foreign investment exceeding 230 billion dollars since it was initiated in 1997.

Centering on attracting overseas direct investment and encouraging Chinese companies to "go global", CIFIT provides a platform for domestic and overseas investment cooperation through an array of exhibitions and project matchmakings.

In 2016, 34 projects were inked at the 18th CIFIT with the total investment reaching 3.30 billion dollars, including projects in the areas of integrated circuits, information services, finance, tourism and innovation.  

It is estimated over 100,000 business people from more than 110 countries and regions and 4,000 companies will take part in this year's CIFIT to engage with each other and seek business opportunities in 3,000 matchmaking activities.
