The 11th Xiamen International Animation Festival is set to take place in Jimei District, Xiamen starting on Nov. 15th and lasting 4 days.

This year’s festival will feature a competition, a business conference, and a carnival.

Cyber Sousa Awards

The Cyber Sousa Awards Animation Competition has received 2,662 works from 54 countries and regions, of which 2,224 are from China and 438 from other countries. In addition to the 10 major traditional awards, this year’s competition introduces another 5 prizes, such as Potential IP, Excellence Creation, and Production. The awards offer a combined total prize of 1.83 million yuan, in hopes of encouraging more original participants and attracting more animation talents to Xiamen.

Business Conference

An important part of the festival, the 2018 Xiamen International Animation & Game Business Conference is to be held in Jimei district from November 15th to 16th. At that time, winners of the Cyber Sousa Awards, together with experts and scholars in the animation field, will get together to explore and discuss the development of the industry. 

Animation Carnival

The Animation Game Carnival Exhibition, another major part of the festival, appeals to 120 famous enterprises from home and abroad, including DOUYU, AIMON, ACTOYS, MIGU, and more.

Covering nearly 20 thousand square meters, the carnival will hold an international animation IP prototype exhibition. More than 60 classical international animation IP prototypes will catch your eyes and overwhelm your heart, such as a 4-meter-high Hulkbuster, a 3-meter-high Snowbeast, and scaled models of Hulk, Iron Man and Spider Man.
