More than 20 authoritative reports are expected to be published at the upcoming 2019 CIFIT, which will be held in Xiamen in, Fujian province, on Sept 8-11, local media reported on Sept 3.

International economic organizations, national business associations, renowned research institutes and media agencies will release their reports during the annual event.

The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development will unveil its World Investment Report 2019 (Chinese version), the Investment Association of China is set to release the Innovative Examples of Green Development and the China Society for World Trade Organization Studies plans to publish the China Investment Index, or CIFIT Index, among other reports.

In addition, Serbia – the guest country of honor -- will organize activities to brief participants on its business environment and preferential policies. Doing the same will be Shanxi – the guest province of honor – as well as investment promotion institutions from other countries and regions.

Organizers said that at present, roughly 20 countries and regions have confirmed they will organize such activities -- including Serbia, Germany, Belgium and Egypt.

Last year the fair facilitated the signing of 1,982 investment projects worth 527.5 billion yuan ($78.59 billion) and drew the attendance of more than 120,000 representatives from 1,005 industrial and commercial associations.
