The four-day 2019 Xiamen International Fashion Week was held in the coastal city of Xiamen from Dec 6 to 9. It was attended by well-known domestic and foreign design enterprises looking to explore innovative takes on cultural and creative products.

The event has been held annually since 2015 and has become known for its creativity and personality. The even includes exhibitions, forums, and fashion shows, making it an ideal platform for showcasing China's newest fashion trends. 

In recent years, Xiamen has gone to great lengths to develop its fashion industry. In 2018, the city generated a total of 19.16 billion yuan ($2.72 billion) in retail sales of clothing, textiles, shoes, hats, and knitted textiles, an increase of 30.1 percent over 2015.
